Town Hall Live programme 2012
Town Hall Live aims to bring you the best of UK and trans Atlantic folk and roots music. The first half of the year gives us a diverse range of acts and music for your enjoyment and we strive to offer you tremendous value.

Ace acoustic blues guitarist SEAN TAYLOR plays TOWN HALL LIVE in support of his new CD Love Against Death. The album was born and brought up in Kilburn, London and comes to us via Austin Texas, where it was recorded and produced by the legendary Mark Hallman. Sean Taylor is the finest acoustic blues talent to emerge in the UK for many a year. Exceptional! Come and see for yourself.

Voted artist of 2011 by Texas Music magazine AMANDA SHIRES is next to appear at TOWN HALL LIVE. Amanda has performed with Rod Picott for several years, but takes centre stage for her first UK headline tour. From West Texas and currently residing in Nashville, Amanda alternates between violin and ukulele. She is a master of both instruments. She will be supported by Rod and slide guitarist Jim Perle in support of her superb CD Carrying Lightning.

JAMES HICKMAN and DAN CASSIDY are a newly formed transatlantic folk and roots duo. Dan is the brother of Eva Cassidy and plays an exciting array of fiddle renditions, whilst James Hickman brings his driving guitar playing and wonderfully unique interpretations of new and old songs.

Sensations of the music festival scene, THE HUT PEOPLE are accordionist Sam Peart and percussionist Gary Hammond. Champions of the standing ovation, The Hut People are rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the hottest and most entertaining world/ folk acts touring today. A show by them is filled to the brim with spontaneity, with hilarious patter and a 110% commitment to getting the audience involved. Don't miss them.

Fresh from an extensive 2 month tour of the United States CLAUDE BOURBON will be a treat not to be missed. Claude is a world renowned guitar player, highly acclaimed for his finger picking style plucking, picking and strumming at such a speed that his fingers appear just a blur. Expect strains of folk, blues, jazz, Spanish and classical music in what will be a magical concert. Another one not to be missed.
