Weddings

We offer an unusual and elegant venue for your wedding in our historic building. It has been recently restored to a high standard with modern facilities, accessible to all. The building dates from 1790 when it formed part of the Kirton in Lindsey House of Correction, acting as the Quarter Sessions Hall. It was rebuilt in the Market Place to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897 and was recently re-opened by HRH the Earl of Wessex, her great, great, great grandson. Our attractive main hall is light and airy with views across the Market Place and over the Trent Valley.
We are licensed for wedding and civil ceremonies in both our halls. We have rooms to suit all sizes of events from a small intimate party to a larger wedding breakfast. The main hall will seat 140-150 for a formal wedding breakfast or up to 160 for an informal buffet.

The small hall will seat 30-40 for a formal event or up to 50 for an informal gathering. We also have a smaller room which would seat 12-16. Our venue gives you the opportunity to make use of our wedding planner to take care of all the organisation or independence to organise the event as you choose with our support. There is a small attractive garden for photographs and use as part of the venue. The green, edged with many mature trees is only a short stroll away.
To book the hall, or to ask us a question about your special day, please call Mandy on 01652 640 051. You can also look at our Google calendar on our prices and bookings page to see if your day is available.
